Here’s something you never see: fashion experts taking on the look and apparel of America’s first ladies. Tim Gunn led a panel this week to discuss the fashion sense of every first lady from Martha Washington to Michelle Obama.
Gunn praised Obama’s fashion sense as “divine,” but thought Hillary Clinton‘s current dress is a sign she’s running for president, because “there’s definitely an evolution that’s been taking place, the bar has been raised.”
He and the female panelists took a very historical look at First Lady fashion sense, from how well Edith Wilson would have done on Project Runway to the image of Kim Kardashian wearing one of Sarah Polk‘s dresses.
